Credit Union 1 is honored to partner with Mike and Christine Golic and The Golic Family Foundation to support our local communities. Together, we are awarding grants to deserving nonprofits who are bringing about positive change in South Bend and beyond. The recipient for this quarter is:

 

Weish4Ever

Weish4Ever was created in honor of Andrew Weishar—a role model, an inspiration and, most of all, a hero to the many that knew and loved him. Before he passed away in October 2012, Andrew selflessly asked his younger brother Dan to pay forward the acts of kindness and generosity that had been shown to their family during his battle. In early 2013, Weish4Ever was created to honor this selfless request, specifically by bringing joy to adolescent and young adult patients in the cancer community and easing the financial burden for their families. Through his legacy with Weish4Ever, Andrew ensures patients and their families know they are not alone in the fight against cancer.

Credit Union 1 and The Golic Family Foundation are honored to support this worthy mission with a $25,000 grant.
