In December, Credit Union 1's Springfield branch hosted an interactive fraud prevention seminar at the Springfield Urban League. The event focused on educating attendees about preventing fraud on their accounts. Staff provided practical tips and resources, highlighting CU1's commitment to financial security.
Charitable giving was a large portion of Credit Union 1’s December efforts, with numerous events bringing support to communities. Highlights included the Champaign County Salvation Army Toy Shop and the Oak Brook Angel Tree Donation. The Matteson branch collected over 100 winter accessories and 120 toys for donation, while hosting a festive event with pictures with Santa and activities for families. In Joliet, CU1 sponsored a vibrant stage for performers to celebrate the holiday. Additionally, the Hobart branch organized a coat drive, collecting coats for women and children at Gabriel's Horn shelter. Across all locations, CU1 demonstrated its unwavering commitment to spreading holiday cheer and supporting those in need.
